Welcome to our team page! We are participating in the Annual Walk for Hospice to honor our beloved coworker Lisa. Our goal is to raise essential funds to ensure the continuity of compassionate care to patients and their families when it's needed most.
 

Lisa was our beloved coworker and friend. She was an incredible hospice nurse with the difficult task of single-handedly operating overnight as a triage nurse, essentially functioning as a several-hundred employee company, on her own, while the rest of us slept. Lisa answered phones, triaged visits, consoled and counseled patients and family members in great need and supported patients, families and staff on so many levels. She did all of this and so much more. She did so gracefully and selflessly, always giving of herself and her time, ready to lend an ear and provide support just when you needed it most or even when you didn’t. Families would say “Lisa stayed on the phone with me” until the nurse arrived at the home, as though Lisa was an old friend. She was just that, a friend to everyone who needed her, even a stranger in distress on the other end of the phone. At her memorial her friends and family described her as what sounds like “Everyone’s best friend”, how lucky are we? Lisa was an avid regular walker, making it a priority in her daily life. She attended many of these Walks in years past, always having to slow down to “Keep up” with us coworkers. We will do our best to honor her, raising money and walking as team “Lisa’s Legs”.  Please consider joining our team and walking with us or donate, for Lisa.
