Walking to Honor Angel Adam
I am participating in the Annual Walk for Hospice to raise essential funds to ensure Care Dimensions can provide expert and compassionate care to patients and their families when they need it most. Care Dimensions serves more than 2,000 patients every day, wherever they call home.
My purpose for walking is also personal. Once again, I will be taking each step to honor the memory of my nephew, Adam, who passed away at just 7 years old but was able to remain in the familiar setting of home and comforted by family with the wonderful support of home hospice care. This year we would have celebrated Adam's 17th birthday.
I will join thousands of walkers who, like me, believe that patients and their families should have the most comprehensive end-of-life care possible regardless of diagnosis or financial resources. The funds raised in the Walk for Hospice safeguard Care Dimensions' ability to offer vital services including complementary therapies such as music, pet, Reiki and massage, grief support to anyone experiencing a loss, community education, volunteer programs and a family fund to help with urgent, non-medical needs.
I hope you will support me in honoring our Angel Adam as well as others in need of care at end of life. Together, we can make their difficult paths a bit easier.
